Many certs: 1 year. Let's Encrypt: 90 days. Renew before expiry.

Check fails?

CORS or firewall may block external API. Check directly in browser.

How to check SSL expiry?

SSL cert expiry guideline?

Commercial 1–2 years. Let's Encrypt 90 days, auto-renew common. 30+ days left = safe.

SSL vs TLS?

SSL is legacy name, TLS is current. TLS 1.2/1.3 recommended. Certs work for both.

SSL cert revocation?

Can be revoked before expiry (e.g. key leak). Revoked = browser warning.
